Ensure that the belt is completely deflated, then secure the device tightly around the waist with the closures facing to the front of your body (Between hipbones and ribs). Attach the hand pump to the air injection tube on the belt and slowly inflate to desired pressure. Detach the airpump and secure cap on the air injection tube. Severe cases will require 10 to 12 pounds of pressure, while less severe and improving patients will require 8 to 10 pounds of pressure. The treatment pressure will gradually be reduced as the patient's condition improves. Never exceed 15 lbs. of pressure, as permanent damage will result to the belt! When not in use, deflate the air pressure from the belt by depressing the pin in the centre of the air injection tube. Notes: Waist
